Terms of Service

This document is a placeholder pending legal review. It describes how Fork’In actually operates today.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a Fork'In account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Fork'In. You must be at least 13 years old to use Fork'In.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information, and do not impersonate anyone or create accounts for others without permission.

3. Your content

You own the reviews, ratings, photos, and other content you post. By posting, you grant Fork'In a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute that content within the app so the service can function (for example, showing your review to your friends). You can delete your content at any time, which ends this license for that content except where retention is required by law.

4. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for what you post. Only post photos and reviews you have the right to share. Do not post content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive (including fake reviews), harassing, hateful, explicit, spam, or that violates our Community Guidelines.

5. No commercial use or advertising

Fork'In accounts are for personal, non-commercial use. Businesses and their representatives may not post promotional content for their own or affiliated businesses, and users may not post paid or sponsored content, without Fork'In's prior written permission. Business inquiries: Profile → Contact us → Business inquiry. Violating content may be removed and accounts suspended or terminated.

6. Content moderation

Fork'In may remove any content that violates these terms or the Community Guidelines, and may suspend or terminate accounts for violations. We may review reported content and act on it at our discretion.

7. Restaurant information

Restaurant details (names, addresses, hours, Google ratings and reviews) come from third-party sources, including Google. Fork'In does not guarantee their accuracy.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Fork'In is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fork'In is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
