Where friends actually eat.

Account information: username, display name, email, and optional profile photo. Content you create: reviews, ratings, check-ins, comments, photos, saved places. Device location: only while you use the map, to show nearby restaurants. Feedback you send us through Contact Us. Contacts: only if you choose "Find friends from contacts" — contact emails and phone numbers are converted to anonymous fingerprints (hashes) on your device for matching; your contacts, their names, and their raw details are never uploaded or stored by Fork'In. Adding your own phone number at signup is optional and stored only as a fingerprint.
To run Fork'In: showing your posts to your friends, finding restaurants near you, and delivering notifications like friend requests and forks. We do not sell your personal information or show you ads.
Your live location is never shared with other users. Check-ins record the restaurant you chose — a place and time you actively posted — not your movements. The map uses your location only on your own device to center the map and search nearby.
Your feed posts are visible to accepted friends only. Restaurant reviews additionally appear in that restaurant's Public tab, visible to all Fork'In users — unless you change "Who can see my reviews" in Privacy settings to Friends or Only me. Privacy settings also let you hide exact visit times and hide your profile from search.
Fork'In uses Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, and photo storage, and Google Places for restaurant data. Searches near your location are sent to Google Places to return results. Photos you upload are checked by Google Cloud Vision for safety. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
Your data is kept while your account is active. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, username, posts, reviews, check-ins, friendships, saved places, and photos from our systems.
Data is protected with Firebase Authentication and security rules that restrict who can read and write it. No system is perfectly secure; use a strong, unique password.
Fork'In is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
